The story of one house

32 short stories for practitioners about turnkey energy-efficient construction
In this section, we want to demonstrate our approach to the complete complex of construction and decoration of an energy-efficient private house. Let's show what materials our company offers to use.

VENTILATION WITH RECOVERY

If you intend to implement the project of an energy-efficient, hermetic house, then it is worth installing a supply-exhaust ventilation system with recuperation. In our case, it is an installation at 800 m3 with a heat pump on board. This means that the air is heated and cooled by a separate heat pump.

18
BOILER PLANT AND HEAT PUMP

The heat pump is assembled from original components of European production. We refused ready-made pumps due to the fact that in most cases they are made from Chinese components.

The estimated service life of the pump assembled by us is at least 25 years.

19
FIREPLACE FOR HEATING

There is no gas in our house at all, because the heating and cooling system runs on electricity. Also, in case of emergency situations, we installed an alternative source of heat - a fireplace with a water jacket. It heats the air and water in the heating system.

20
TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY CONTROL

For convenient control, we recommend purchasing a microclimate that is comfortable for you “Wireless weather station”. You install it in one room, but you will see the temperature and humidity in all rooms.

21
CONCRETE JOINTS AND PLASTER WORKS

"RDZ" company prefers only reinforced concrete screeds. In practice, this means that the solution is made by hand, using sand, crushed stone, cement and a professional plasticizer.

We reinforce it with a metal mesh 100x100x3 mm. Place the beacons in such a way that cold seams do not form when pouring. As a result, we get a monolithic concrete slab.

The walls, which also perform heating functions, have built-in pipes, so they need a larger layer of plaster mortar, approximately 30-40 mm. That is why the plaster for our house was made traditional - cement-lime.

22
STAIRS

In this project, we deliberately abandoned the traditional staircase, taken to a separate room. Instead, they implemented an idea where most of the stairs "overhang" the hall and serve as part of the interior design. In this way, we used at least half the area for the implementation of the staircase.

The end of the staircase had to be as thin as possible, so we mounted a metal frame. We leveled it from above with plywood, which was later decorated with veneered stairs, and from below we mounted plasterboard, which was later puttyed and painted.

The width of the staircase is 1180 mm, and the height of the step is 155 mm. This is a very comfortable option for frequent use of stairs for the whole family.

23
GYPSUM CARDBOARD WORKS

We emphasize that the quality of installation of plasterboard constructions has a huge impact on the final appearance of the premises. At first glance, it is a simple job, but it actually involves a high level of professionalism and a combination of three important factors.

The first thing is to keep the correct geometry and clarity of all forms. Second, it is necessary to strictly observe the technology of installing the frames and the plasterboard itself. The third is the installation of plasterboard, and its puttying must also take place at optimal temperature and humidity.

Specialists of the "RDZ" company have extensive experience in plasterboard works. In this house, we met all the requirements and achieved a perfect result.

24
TILE WORKS

The implementation of this project involved the use of ceramic tiles of all possible formats and sizes. Among them, works of high complexity were performed on laying large-format slabs 1200 x 2800 mm.

Laying a large-format plate requires a special tool, a very high level of skill of the craftsmen and physical strength.

For example, one plate with glue on the carrier weighs about 80 kg. It should not just be lifted, but sometimes complex manipulations should be performed on outstretched arms. There is also a great danger of chips and cracks, and one plate can cost 2000 Euros. Of course, the final look is worth these risks.

In carrying out tiling works, it is important to maintain a balance between quality and speed. While working on this house, the specialists of the "RDZ" company once again proved that they work with high quality and optimal speed.

25
INSTALLATION OF PLUMBING

Clean plumbing installation was carried out. Showers, mixers, toilets and washbasins.

26
PUTTING

We plastered the walls and ceilings using high-quality compounds. This process requires high qualification, physical condition, accuracy and, most importantly, patience.

We repeat, because it is extremely important that the seaming and puttying of plasterboard must be carried out with strict adherence to the technological process. We emphasize that cracks or other defects may appear on plasterboard surfaces with improper installation and puttying, or non-compliance with the temperature regime.

27
PAINTING AND WALLPAPERS

According to the design project, the ceiling is painted white, with black fragments, and the walls are pasted with thin minimalist wallpaper on a non-woven base, the same for all rooms, except for the office - for which the color was changed. We used printing on non-woven wallpaper in the nursery and bedroom.

Very often, customers ask: "Which finishing coating to choose, so that it is beautiful and practical?" For us, the answer is obvious - wallpaper on a non-woven base is an ideal option.

However, there are often people who don't even want to hear about wallpaper. We, of course, accept such a choice, but ... the final result convincingly proves the validity of our words.

28
LAMP LIGHTS

In this project, we focused on a budget solution for lamps without chandeliers.

In order to avoid the light load on the residents of the house, we used hidden LED lights. That is, in no case should the light source be visible and "hit" the eyes.

After installing the light, the interior came to life.

29
PARQUET AND DOORS

On the site where the house was planned to be built, there were the remains of an old garden - two walnut trees and two large cherry trees were growing. We cut these trees, spread them on boards and sent them to dry. Just then, we decided to choose walnut as the basis for decorating the big house, and cherry for the small one.

We made the doors in the small house from our cherry, and in the big house the doors are veneered with walnut.

The parquet, of course, is not made of our material, but it looks like a bomb! By the way, it is quite a budget option, due to its small size, 70 x 350 mm. First, the plywood was mounted, and then the parquet was laid on it.
