COMPANY "RDZ" GENERAL CONTRACTOR OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE RELIGIOUS AND EDUCATIONAL CENTER OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE ORIONISTS OF THE UGCC
This project occupies a special place in the history of the RDZ company. After all, our team participates in the creation of an ingenious masterpiece of the sacred architecture of the city of Lviv. We were lucky to get a unique chance to implement the idea of the world-famous Swiss architect Mario Botta.
On the one hand, this is fantastically interesting work - creating an important space for the community. On the other hand, it is a huge responsibility, because our work must not only reach a high level of quality, but also reflect the aesthetic and spiritual values of Christianity.
In 2013, at the stage of the concrete box, the "RDZ" company began interior decoration of the monastery. Natural materials were used: travertine for the floor, black stone on the plinth, wood for furniture and doors. We scrupulously followed all of Mario Botta's instructions regarding materials and design solutions. Thus, it was possible to create an Italian warm and hospitable atmosphere - in the monastery premises, even the furniture is a part of the architecture and gives a feeling of harmony and domestic peace.
We are proud of the fact that we received the personal recognition of the Master. During his visits to Lviv, Mario Botta praised the work we did. And since 2018, the "RDZ" company acted as the general contractor for the construction of the second stage of construction - the gallery and the Temple. As of the end of 2022, work on the decoration of the Temple's facade is underway.
The dome of the Church looks low from the outside, but inside it impresses with its space and height. The ten faces of the dome converge to the top. We immediately mention the ten commandments, the observance of which elevates a person in his thoughts and intentions. Between the faces are windows, through them light enters and spreads throughout the Temple, intensifying the vibration of the ash wood that decorates the walls. Soft rays of light are like a short story about the fact that the ten commandments are not just words, but the light of our lives.
The masons who built the Temple were asked what they do.
One says: "I work hard on the construction site, I carry heavy stones."
The second answered: "I earn money for a living."
And the third said: "I am building a Temple - a building that for many years, maybe several centuries, will bring people joy, consolation, and will grant salvation to someone
